The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary. You will be part of a highly motivated, skilled and multi-disciplinary team delivering to enhance our national security, in sectors such as crypt-key, cyber assurance and other complex programmes. Your knowledge and expertise will thrive in a challenging yet rewarding environment, applying the latest in technologies and processes to provide solutions that keep our nation safe and secure.

 

Day-to-day you will:

  • Work collaboratively within a cross industry team to deliver solutions within the Intelligence and Security Solutions Team to enhance our national security

  • Support the delivery of cutting edge projects, shaping how delivery is executed and applying your development skills across a range of activities across the full software development lifecycle

  • Design, develop and test new software applications and features whilst adhering to industry best practices

 

This role is full-time, 37 hours and 4 days onsite per week at our Malvern offices, with adaptive working options.

 

Essential experience of the Senior Software Engineer:

  • A strong software engineering background such as HTML5, React.js, Node.js, ASN.1, RESTful APIs / JSON / HTTP, Rust, Spring Boot, Mongo, Java

  • Good understanding of Windows and Linux OS

  • A willingness to engage with the customer & good customer interaction

  • Excellent problem solving skills, work with unique and challenging problems
