🛠️ What You’ll Do
The Project Engineer at QinetiQ Target Systems is based out of the Medicine Hat, Alberta office.
The overall duties and responsibilities are:
- Development with the project manager, sponsor, and project team the technical requirements and work structure for the customization and development of single and multi-company projects for new customer and internal requirements.
- Working in conjunction with the Project manager to create, maintain and execute project plans relating to the technical projects.
- Work with the technical and operations team to develop, test, and build engineer designs and operational documentation for the project.
- Review and approval of drawings, designs, test plans, training materials, and other multi-disciplined technical documents with respect to the product configuration within the project.,
- Monitor, and develop with other technical staff with respect to the engineering activities for the UVS projects,
- Work in conjunction with internal & external parties for operational support and enhancement of technical capabilities,
- Ensuring and design & operational safety within the various projects
- Reliable and committed to adopting, upholding, and complying with QinetiQ values, ethics, policies and procedures including health and safety, work in line with the ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 14001:2015, general data protection regulations and use of IT, HR policies and procedures, equality and diversity, security and confidentiality, and code of conduct etc.
- To meet changing business needs, it may be necessary to make some amendments to the role purpose and accountabilities, and to take on additional responsibilities, and
- In accordance with our Hybrid Work Policy this position is allotted 800hrs/yr of hybrid work.
🎓 What You Bring
- Background in aerospace, marine or defence technology including project management team experience.,
- Membership in APEGA (or eligibility)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
- Project Management Institute membership
- MS Project
- Applicable Post-secondary degree
- Experience working with government and/or defense authorities for UAVs or Munitions
