Headquartered in Nowra, New South Wales, QinetiQ Air Affairs provides targets and training services, and electronic warfare capabilities to the Australian Defence Force, in addition to aerial surveillance and reconnaissance in support of government firefighting efforts. Air Affairs owns and operates a fleet of special mission aircraft and maintains an advanced manufacturing and engineering facility providing design, manufacture and certification operations.

We are taking expressions of interest from pilots looking to join our team that support a variety of special missions’ contracts. Our fleet is made up of Lear 30 & Lear 60 Series and Beechcraft KingAir 200 aircraft and is based nationwide.

 

Our pilots, in supporting a number of special mission’s contracts are usually required to;

  • Be available for on call (short notice 1 – 2 hrs) deployment
  • Pilot an aircraft in support of bushfire mapping, charter or medivac missions
  • Collaborate with your team to plan and deliver the mission
  • Be available for countrywide (and sometimes overseas) travel 

 

What you will bring;

  • A minimum of 1500 PIC.
  • A current CPL (Ideally ATPL)
  • A current class 1 medical
  • Excellent communication skills

To be considered for this role you will need;

  • A willingness to work on call at short notice
  • High levels of awareness and a safety first attitude

 

You will also need to have;

  • A current ME IPC
  • A valid Part 61 Licence
  • MCC (LearJet Only)

Candidates will need to be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (LearJet) or have permanent work rights in Australia (KingAir).
