Education:

  • A good standard of education with the relevant experience.

 

Qualification:

  • An Engineering/Science Degree/HNC/ONC/Electronic Apprenticeship or equivalent experience.

 

Training:

  • On the job training will be recorded using the standard form and included within this folder along with certificates received from any formal training.

 

Technical Knowledge:

  • It is expected that the Instrumentation Officer would have a broad technical knowledge of trial activities and the process for obtaining relevant accurate data.
  • To assist the Team Lead with the provision of trials costings and instrumentation trial solutions.
  • Operate and maintain Instrumentation equipment in accordance with Instrumentation Work Instructions and manufactures handbook and Quality system.
  • To lead an Instrumentation range trial team, setting up Instrumentation equipment, gathering data and ensuring all aspects of Quality system are adhered to for the production of Customer reports in accordance with the Trials Conduct Document.

 

Skills:

  • Instrumentation data gathering.
  • Interoperating Customer requirements.
  • Liaising with Customers and other range section personnel. 
  • Compiling trials data and the production of Customer reports.
  • Auditing customer reports.

 

Experience:

  • Experience of various trial activities.
  • Experience of maintaining Instrumentation equipment. 
  • Experience of team management and planning.
  • Knowledge of Instrumentation processes and procedures.

 

Competence Required:

  • Operation of instrumentation data gathering equipment.
  • Maintenance of instrumentation data gathering equipment.
