The Role
As a Senior Administrator, you will make a tangible difference within the organisation by acting as the operational backbone of the site, ensuring that administrative, compliance, and coordination activities run seamlessly.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll undertake a range of administrative duties across the Site, providing key support to the wider teams and site leadership.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage records and documentation, including data entry, filing, archiving, retrieval, and secure destruction in line with corporate policies
  • Deliver high-quality administrative support with discretion and initiative, resolving queries using sound judgement and experience
  • Support site leadership and wider teams with specific tasks including budget control, Oracle rollout, Ariba purchasing, and general operational assistance
  • Coordinate visits, events, and communications, including complex site visits, corporate responsibility initiatives, and internal engagement activities
  • Maintain site compliance and operational roles, including security processes, document registration, and archive management
  • Provide site and facilities support, including reception cover, acting as Fire Warden/Facility Manager, and deputising for the Team Leader when required

 

Essential experience of the Senior Administrator: 

  • Substantial business administration experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels
  • Proactive and self-motivated, able to use initiative and make decisions independently in non-standard situations
  • Highly organised with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and various information systems
  • Capable of supporting team development, including training others, running meetings, and producing accurate meeting minutes

 

Essential qualifications for the Senior Administrator:

This role is 37 hours per week based at our Pending site with a requirement to be onsite 5 days per week

 

The QinetiQ Pendine facility, located on the coast of South Wales, is renowned for its extensive capabilities in testing and evaluating defence systems, particularly in the fields of weapons and vehicle performance. Pendine plays a critical role in the UK’s defence landscape providing essential services that contribute to the development and assurance of military hardware.
