The Role
As a Cyber Security Consultant, you will have the opportunity to work with customers understanding and advising on cyber security vulnerability, risks, audit & compliance in a business or operation context and cyber security threat environment
Day-to-day, you’ll be involved in a multitude of cyber security activities including generating business risk models, audit processes, cyber security vulnerability analysis and identifying and articulating mitigations for cyber risk developing cyber security risk case to customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Applying cyber security frameworks and industry standards, including NIST and ISO27001, to support risk assessments and security assurance activities
- Assisting with the identification, assessment and documentation of cyber security risks, vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies across systems and business processes
- Supporting security accreditation, compliance and governance activities, helping organisations understand and manage cyber risk effectively
- Engaging with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate findings and present clear security recommendations
- Building knowledge of digital technologies, computer networks and cyber threat frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK to support security analysis and decision-making
- Contributing to cyber security projects within government, defence and critical national infrastructure environments, working independently while seeking guidance and development opportunities when required
Essential experience of the Cyber Security Consultant:
- Previous experience in security vulnerability, risk, audit & compliance
- Digitally literate (including fluency in Microsoft Office tools)
- Previous experience applying/working to relevant NIST and ISO27001 frameworks and standards
Essential qualifications for the Cyber Security Consultant:
- STEM degree or equivalent or relevant experience

This role is 37 hours per week based at either our Portsmouth, Farnborough, Malvern, Amesbury, Lincoln or Bristol site with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week. Customer travel will be required.
