QinetiQ’s DSP-FPGA Design Engineers implement complex system algorithms and interface in Model Based Environment for Radar Systems, typically for defence capabilities/applications. We are looking to appoint an Engineer who will undertake a pro-active role throughout the Software lifecycle in a project based environment. We are looking to speak with Engineer’s at all levels of experience who have an interest in FPGA Design, DSP systems and experience with VHDL or Verilog; role specific training is available for the successful applicant.

 

The Role:

As a DSP/FPGA Engineer with QinetiQ, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing FPGA-based digital signal processing solutions for Radar RCS measurement system. Working as part of a high calibre Software/RF System On Chip team, you will be involved in all phases of projects and additional engineering tasks.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Requirements: 

  • Design with architecting and implementing Digital Signal processing systems, Functions and FPGA design experience using VHDL or Verilog;
  • FPGA design experience with synthesis, timing analysis and verification;
  • Experience with Modelsim, Matlab/Simulink, Xilinx Vivado, Git and development tools;
  • Working knowledge of both simulation and practical application - Matlab/Simulink and verification;
  • Understanding of RF Systems, specifically Radar or EW (Desirable)
  • British National or Dual British National, able to attain MOD SC level clearance.
