We are excited to invite expressions of interest from experienced Commercial Services professionals to provide advice and assistance on complex procurement and contract management issues. This role will be based out of Newcastle, New South Wales.
Reporting to the Air7002 Commercial Manager, AIR7002 specialist Commercial Services activities will be achieved successfully through the development of appropriate commercial documentation and activities executed in accordance with relevant Defence policy and frameworks.
The Commercial Services Specialist will be accountable for:
- Procurement planning, tendering and contract formation and deed and contract management activities including Deed and contract amendments while ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes and procedures
- Monitoring and management of contract administration, performance and risks against the contract and contribute to appropriate action
- Design and implementation of mitigation strategies for the risks associated with contract management activities, suppliers’ performance and compliance with mandatory requirements and suggest relevant improvement
- Development, update and coordination of project artefacts required to support key project milestones/Gates/Committees
As a suitably experienced and well- rounded Commercial Services professional, the Commercial Services Specialist will have:
- Ability to engage key stakeholders
- Experience in supporting project governance and planning activities
- The ability to provide SME guidance and mentoring to project/ASCISPO team members
- Clear oral and written communication skills as well as strong negotiation skills
Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold an NV1 Australian Government Security Clearance
