We are excited to invite expressions of interest from experienced Costing professionals to undertake a range of data analysis and data visualisation tasks using data analytic tools to support strategies and policy initiatives for the management of commercial arrangements within ASCISPO. This role will be based out of Newcastle, New South Wales.
Reporting to the Assistant Director Commercial Support, you will perform costing and funding data modelling and analysis tasks for newly created forecast and reporting dashboards to ensure accurate data is extracted from internal/external data systems.
The Cost Analyst will be accountable for:
- Ensuring costing and funding reporting output is compliant and adheres to stakeholder expectations
- Using data analysis to inform recommendations and decisions to improve the cost of ownership and value for money outcomes
- Establish collaborative and productive relationships with team members working on ASCISPO capabilities to achieve agreed outcomes
- Provide accurate and timely analysis to ensure that decisions and advice are based on the best possible data and information including an accurate picture of the current situation
As a suitably experienced and well- rounded Costing professional, the Cost Analyst will have:
- Ability to engage key stakeholders to resolve complex issues relating to costing and funding reporting and the ability to consider all required variables
- The ability to provide expert advice on costing and funding analysis and recommendations to inform decision-making by ASCISPO Executive
- Solid experience to evaluate the Contractor’s (below the line) financial information provided to Defence to confirm accuracy and applicability to projects and work being undertaken.
- Clear oral and written communication skills as well as strong negotiation skills
Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold an NV1 Australian Government Security Clearance
