About the Role:
Working as part of a small team, you will be responsible for the operation and repair of electronic systems. You should have basic understanding of electronic equipment/systems and you will also be able to fault find electrical and electronic equipment. Training and Development will be provided in role to support the successful candidate.
What will I be doing:
- Ensuring all maintenance activities are conducted safely and with adequate resources.
- Support the repair, maintenance and operation of a range of electronic equipment.
- Reporting any defect or resource issue that affects equipment availability, in good time.
- Diagnose and repair electronic equipment.
What do I need:
- Team player and excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to support short notice trials and long working hours.
- Drive and determination to resolve problems with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work equally well alone or as part of a team.
- Engage in local multi-skill working practices.
- Good communication skills with internal/external stakeholders.
Opportunities:
- Working with and maintaining bespoke electronic systems incorporating analogue and digital data acquisition subsystems.
- Seagoing activities.
- Overseas trials.
- Prepared to work in the marine environment and on-board RN platforms.
