THE ROLE
We are looking for a Business Assurance & Improvement Lead to provide ‘hands-on’ assurance support to the Company’s management, business areas, project teams and individual functions, while championing a wider culture of improvement. This role will be key in ensuring adherence to Company Policies and Procedures, relevant standards including the ISO 9001:2015 standard and other statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Working closely with the Head of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), maintaining and improving the Inzpire Business Management System (BMS).
- Producing an annual audit plan using a risk-based methodology and conducting and supporting 1st, 2nd and 3rd party audits to assess compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard and alignment with Inzpire policy and procedures.
- Analysing and reporting on quality objectives and identifying areas for improvement as required.
- Supporting the development of corrective and preventive actions, through root cause analysis and monitoring the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
- Establishing and maintaining excellent stakeholder relations, communicating / engaging at all levels and facilitating training sessions on quality standards and improvement methodologies.
THE PERSON
- An in-depth knowledge of the ISO 9001:2015 standard (formal CQI / IRCA or Defence QA qualifications would be desirable). An understanding of other ISO standards or other applicable standards would be beneficial.
- An internal auditor qualification (as a minimum).
- Proven experience in the maintenance and management of Quality Management Systems.
- Strong IT skills and a good working knowledge of software such as Excel, SharePoint and Power BI would be advantageous.
- Knowledge and preferably previous experience working in the defence and aerospace domains and the ability to apply such industry-specific knowledge to enhance quality assurance processes.
- An understanding of software development and hardware integration practices.
- Project management experience.
- Committed to staying informed about industry-specific quality requirements and standards.
- An awareness of fundamental cyber security principles and other security principles, particularly regarding UK government requirements.
- A high standard of analytical and reporting skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Adaptable, able to cope with changing requirements and multiple priorities and can remain effective in difficult times.
Due to the nature of elements of the role, the successful applicant must be a UK National and may be required to successfully complete National Security Vetting which may require criminal record, security service and credit reference checks; qualification will also normally require a minimum UK residency of at least 5 years.
