The Role
As a Trials Planning Manager, will cover the duties of a Trial Planning Manager (TPM), supporting the Trials Operations Manager with oversight of an efficient, safe, secure and legal operational output in accordance with approved Trials Conduct Documentation.
Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for the efficient engagement with the IDT Programmes community, the planning of the trial/training projects and the generation of the required Range documents set with appropriate approvals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring Trials Planning activities align with the requirements of the Trials Process
- Maintaining the Safety and Mission Critical aspects during LIVE Trial (Test events) in accordance with approved Trials Conduct Document
- Operate in accordance with relevant publications
- Supporting Integrated Capture and Delivery teams with relevant proposal bids, solution development/delivery and closure of the tasks.
- Co-ordination of various stakeholders within the planning period (MOD Agencies, Customers, local community) to reach approvals to conduct activities
Essential experience of the Trials Planning Manager:
- An in-depth knowledge in Engineering or other technical discipline with experience in management of equipment, systems or facilities
- Experienced in the Operational delivery within a high Hazard and Safety critical environment
- In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety, Governance and Security
- Professional attitude for our customers, both internal and external
- Experience of Trial Documentation writing alongside Risk Assessments
- Strength of character to uphold QinetiQ values regardless of the operational pressures
Essential qualifications for the Trials Planning Manager:
- Technical degree level qualification or equivalent experience and training. Specific domains of interest include Mathematics, Physics, Engineering and Explosives
- NEBOSH or IOSH

This role is 37 hours per week based at any of our main UK locations (Aberporth being the principal location) with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week. Set working times are xxx. (insert working pattern)
