Boasting the largest team of highly respected and experienced Explosive Ordnance (EO) acquisition personnel, our consultants work in close partnership with our clients and are embedded, within a vibrant team, working on multi-million dollar projects that are at the cutting edge of innovation in Defence munitions and the creation of sovereign defence capability.
Explosive Ordnance Engineering Role
In this role you will be working with our client to deliver engineering activities as required under the GWEO Delivery Division Engineering Management Plan (GWEOG-DD-PLN-ENG-110) and referenced documents in the associated Engineering Management System, where you will directly contribute to the establishment and ongoing assurance of Technical Integrity of all materiel related to the project.
Deliverables/outputs under this scope of work may include:
- Registration Technical Information
- Conduct of Technical Information Review
- Planning Engineering Activities
- Preparation and support to Configuration Control Boards
- Planning of Certification activities
- Development of engineering artefacts
- Incorporation of changes to engineering artefacts based on engineering review
- Conduct engineering analysis such as:
- failure mode analysis and hazard identification
- characterise / communicate risk and propose effective mitigations using the hierarchy of controls
- Update and upkeep of product configuration baselines
Our preferred candidates will demonstrate knowledge, skills & experience in the following:
- Previously held a delegation of Engineer or higher under either MEOSPO, AEOSPO or LEOSPO with supporting evidence
- Specialist training in explosives ordnance
- Producing design documents and specialist engineering reports
- Producing contract documentation, plans and reports
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering field and with specialist training in guided weapons engineering.
- Previous explosive ordnance certification experience aligned with the requirements of AOP 15.
EMS Assurance Officer Role
We are also seeking individuals with expertise in assurance and certification of Engineering Management Systems (EMS). This role supports ongoing engineering assurance activities across the GWEO Group, particularly in relation to AEO and AMO compliance under the ADF Technical Regulatory Framework.
As an EMS Assurance Officer, you’ll contribute to the assurance of engineering and maintenance organisations operating within the Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) environment. This includes preparing organisations for AEO and/or AMO EMS certification, reviewing their performance for ongoing certification, and conducting audits or surveillance activities. You’ll provide clear and evidence-based advice, analysis and reporting on the ability of organisations to meet certification requirements and maintain compliance.
Candidates will need to be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
