Boasting the largest team of highly respected and experienced Explosive Ordnance (EO) acquisition personnel, you will work in close partnership with our clients and will be embedded within a vibrant team, working on multi-million dollar projects that are at the cutting edge of innovation in Defence munitions and the creation of sovereign defence capability.

 

Fixed Term Contract - Canberra

 

We are looking for an Integrated Logistics Support Manager (ILSM) to join our Advisory business (Explosive Material Branch) where you will be embedded within an acquisition project, which is currently progressing to key project milestones including testing and trials, Initial Operating Capability, preparing for transition to sustainment and Final Operating Capability.

 

In your role as ILSM, your responsibilities may include;

 

  • Establish a robust logistics support system (including sustainment) and ensure all Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC) are complete when required.
  • Development of weapon plans in accordance with policy, guidance and best practice. Plans include but are not limited to project management, asset management, engineering, certification approvals, T&E, FIC, ILS, contract management, sustainment and disposal plans.
  • Plan, prepare, develop and support weapon integration activities, schedules and plans for platforms. Including technical risk, dependencies, schedule, cost and Fundamental Inputs to Capability elements.

 

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Experience working in acquisition ILS, ideally within Maritime.
  • Experience with COMSARM and MILIS
  • In-depth knowledge and experience to undertake tasks of increasing complexity, including the ability to consider the problem, derive a range of potential solutions from existing possibilities and decide on the best course of action to reach a cost effective outcome
  • Thorough understanding of the integration requirements both within support elements, and between ILS and other technical logistics disciplines
  • In-depth understanding of concepts and principles in their own discipline and a basic knowledge of these elements in other disciplines

 

Due to the nature of these roles, applicants must hold or have recently held an NV1 Australian Defence security clearance.
