The Role
As an Enterprise Architect, you will provide strategic architectural leadership across the enterprise globally, ensuring business and technology alignment so that investments, roadmaps, and delivery outcomes coherently support the organisation’s strategy and operation model.

Day-to-day, you’ll own architecture standards, governance, and road mapping at an enterprise levels acting as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders orchestrating alignment across business domains and technology platforms. Enterprise Architects focus on strategy, alignment, and governance rather than deep technical design; specialist Enterprise Architects provide domain depth.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Owning architecture principles, standards and reference designs; managing Architecture Review Boards and design authorities
• Maintaining strong relationships with business representatives, finance and deliver leads whilst communicating clearly to exec/CxO and technical audiences providing compelling presentations, decision records and architecture narratives
• Defining and maintaining multi-year domain roadmaps that align business capabilities, processes and technology outcomes across regions. This includes shaping and maintaining digital/data/business strategy alignment in partnership with business leaders, Product Owners, and specialist architects
• Publishing EA knowledge products and maintain EA tooling/metamodel and defining metrics and value approach.
• Supporting effective service transition by ensuring architecture intent and non-fuctional guardrails are embedded; agree runbook expectations with service owners
• Mentoring architects/engineers and fostering a community of practice

Essential experience of the Enterprise Architect (Security): 

• Extensive experience in enterprise-scale architecture or senior business/technology roles
• Deep understanding of security architecture
• Strong ability to communicate with stakeholders
• Good understanding of how to apply governance and work with stakeholders

Essential qualifications for the Enterprise Architect (Security):

• TOGAF, ITIL v4 Foundation or other relevant qualifications
• Degree in Computer Science/Systems Engineering/ Engineering/Maths or equivalent experience

This role is 37 hours per week based at any of our main UK sites with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week.
