The Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a new Defence project, ensuring effective coordination across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Day-to-day, you’ll be managing complex workstreams, engaging with stakeholders across Defence and industry, and providing clear project reporting and updates.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all aspects of a new project from induction through delivery
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant Defence processes and standards
  • Supporting project initiation and proposal activities
  • Providing accurate reporting to senior leadership

 

Essential experience of the Senior Project Manager:

  • Knowledge of Defence and Defence project delivery
  • Understanding of Trials and Experimentation processes
  • Capability and Acquisition experience within DE&S or Army HQ
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience working across multiple teams
  • Ability to hit the ground running on complex projects

 

Essential qualifications for the Senior Project Manager:

  • Relevant experience more important than formal qualifications
  • Experience in project management in Defence or related sectors
  • Demonstrable ability to manage complex workstreams and reporting
  • APMP PMQ or Prince 2 equivalent

This role is full-time per week based at Farnborough or Bristol. Travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites will be expected. Hybrid working patterns are available.
