QinetiQ is looking to hire a Senior Sustaining Software Engineer to support the delivery of robotic systems for the U.S. Military at our Franklin, MA Facility. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment to support the delivery of robotic systems for the U.S. Military
  • Identify the root cause of issues and advanced troubleshooting of robotic systems software
  • Identify and implement fixes to correct software related issues of robotic system software
  • Work with other groups such as production, configuration management, and other engineering disciplines such as Electrical Engineering
  • Update various production procedures for correctness and completeness
  • Identify areas of improvement for deploying software on production systems
  • Participate in field data collection and experimentation, analysis, and reporting

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent plus at least 5 years’ experience or an MS in Robotics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent plus at least 3 years’ experience.
  • Experience working with C/C++ and C# programming languages
  • Python scripting experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Flexible, self-started, desire to solve any problem

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with network protocols such as CAN, UDP, RS232, and I2C
  • Working knowledge of C# 5.0 / .NET 4.5 or higher
  • Experience with software development tools such as Jira, version control, and CI/CD
  • UI development
  • Experience working with Distributed Architectures
  • Ability to read schematic diagrams
  • Ability to work with oscilloscopes and multi-meters
  • Experience in a multi-discipline engineering environment
