As a Business Intelligence Analyst at our Lorton Office you will gather, analyze, and compile data needed to identify opportunities, trends and patterns, then make recommendations for business actions; provide data from the Corporate CRM Tool (Salesforce); build briefings for the Executive Leadership Team, Board of Directors and CEO.  Identify new opportunities to support growth in the company (from industry days, advanced procurement briefings to industry briefings, GovWin, SAM.gov, etc.),  support the development of Corporate Strategy and help in execution of the same

 

Your Contribution to the Mission

 

  • Gathers business intelligence from a variety of sources including company data, industry and field reports, public information, or purchased sources.·
  • Assesses market strategies by analyzing related products, markets, or trends.
  • Uses business intelligence data and tools to identify and monitor current and potential customers.
  • Identify pipeline opportunities through the use of various sites and services such as GovWin, SAM.gov, APBI, etc.
  • Identifies markets for future product development and methods to improve sales of existing products by analyzing technology trends.
  • Maintains current knowledge of industry and business trends through communication with professional organizations, suppliers, customers, competitors, and other informed individuals.
  • Summarizes financial and economic data reports for review by executives, managers, and stakeholders.
  • Creating data visualizations, building monthly, quarterly, and annual dashboards through KMS, Power BI, SalesForce, Excel and others
  • Designing, developing, implementing, monitoring, and updating business management tools (Salesforce), systems and databases.
  • Schedules, supports the Business Development Council with briefing materials; track actions and deliverables; produces briefing slides for senior business developers

 

To Land this Job, You'll Need:

 

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • Critical thinker with strong business analytic modeling and technical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency in the development of pivot tables and graphic reports from Excel
  • Proficiency in Salesforce analytics, reports and dashboards
  • Ability to collect and compile relevant data.
  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent ability to analyze information and think systematically.
  • Works well independently and as part of a team.
  • Thorough understanding of the defense and security industry at large; as well as Business Development and Bid practices
  • Ability to handle databases and understand technology driven business intelligence tools.
  • Must be able to obtain a US DOD Security Clearance if required.
