Your Contribution to Our Mission:

QinetiQ Inc. is looking to hire several Scientists and Engineers to support the design and development of EO/IR Sensor Systems and Embedded Electronics/Computing Systems, Unmanned/Autonomous Robotic systems and Military Survivability solutions for military applications. The Engineers work in integrated development teams of electrical, mechanical, systems, and software engineers who work on the design and build of new prototype technology systems, to support the Warfighter effort with C5ISR sensor, survivability and unmanned systems, and controls and transportation solutions.

  • Electrical Engineers work with a dynamic team of Electrical, Electronic, and Firmware Engineers in the prototype development and transition/fielding of leading-edge technologies supporting QinetiQ Inc.’s military customer base.
  • Mechanical Engineers support the design, modeling, tolerancing, drawing generation, assembly procedures, part procurement, environmental analysis, and testing of Opto-Mechanical Sensor Systems and Autonomous Robotic Systems for commercial and government applications.
  • Software Engineers develop and employ R&D (Research & Development) and/or prototype scientific & engineering software that optimizes the operation of our hardware and robotics technologies.
  • Systems Engineers support the integration of sensors, software, and processing with user interfaces and other system architectures, and perform in-depth field data collections, tests and experimentation, including end-user reviews, for prototype systems.
  • Spectral Scientists support the research and development of new sensor and robotics hardware technologies and analyze the data from our hardware systems to ensure that our prototype technologies meet and exceed our customer needs.

To Land This Job, You Need:

  • BS degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
  • Real world experience in the development of new technology systems, preferably within a military or DOD setting.
  • Software Engineers require experience developing R&D and/or prototype scientific & engineering software in both C++ and Java in a Linux environment for hardware control or optimization.
  • Mechanical Engineers require 3 to 5 years’ experience in machine and robotics design using SolidWorks CAD, with an emphasis on electromechanical design (Optics, Cameras, FPAs, CCDs), Focusing Systems, Autonomous Robotics Systems, and Stepper and Servo Systems.
  • Electrical Engineers require knowledge and experience in electrical and electronic design of hardware systems and robotics, the creation of schematics and custom electronics designs and experience building schematic parts and component footprints.
