QinetiQ Inc. is seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join our growing contracts team at our Lorton, VA office. The selected candidate should have a strong understanding of federal service and/or technology contracts in the defense industry.
Your Contribution To The Mission:
- Provide expert contracts management guidance, oversight, and know-how throughout the federal government contracting lifecycle for contracts and subcontracts, including cost-reimbursement contracts
- Prepare and disseminate information for management consideration regarding contract status, negotiation, compliance, modification, and termination
- Develop successful working relationships with internal customers, stakeholders, government contracting officers, and prime contractors in the formation, negotiation, award, performance, and close-out of contracts and subcontracts
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks; confirm compliance with applicable legal/regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices; ensure company positions are accurately documented and fully reviewed in accordance with company policies
- Help develop and refine policies, procedures, and processes to facilitate consistent, agile, risk-based approaches to contract management and compliance with contract requirements
- Prepare, review, and redline agreements (e.g., nondisclosure agreements, teaming agreements, subcontract agreements, master services agreements, statements of work)
- Review RFPs and work with capture proposal managers on terms and conditions and resulting contract awards
- Manage government contracts from “cradle to grave” and contractual relationships with prime contractors, subcontractors, etc.
- Create and maintain positive relationships with capture/proposal teams, project managers, finance, and other internal business units
- Work with direct manager and business operations to develop and improve standardized forms and processes
- Perform other tasks and projects as assigned
- Experience with Organizational Conflict of Interest (OCI) terms and mitigation plans
- Familiarity with GWACs including GSA
To Land This Job, You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years’ experience working for a professional services or technology company in a contracts role
- Strong contract development, review, redlining & negotiating experience with federal customers and commercial customers
- Extremely detail oriented
- Ability to multitask several priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet multiple deadlines
- Experience negotiating with federal customers
- Deep understanding and familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
- Expertise of full life-cycle contract management & contract types (CPFF, FFP, T&M, etc.)
- Eagerness to learn and tackle tasks outside of your area of expertise
- Ability to work in an independent yet collaborative environment
- Ability to identify risks and develop solutions
