The Role
As a Senior Cryptography Engineer, you will apply Crypt-Key expertise and technical leadership to customer mission challenges through research, consultancy, engineering delivery, strategic technical influence and the providing of guidance across multidisciplinary teams.
Day-to-day, you’ll work across technical disciplines to develop/analyse integrated and innovative security solutions delivering high quality outputs that focus on customer problems and solutions in the cryptosecurity domain engaging regularly with customers and stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Technically leading multidisciplinary teams across large or complex bids and projects in response to requests from customers and partners in the cryptosecurity domain
- Engaging regularly with customers and stakeholders to support smooth delivery, shape strategy, and identify opportunities for follow on work
- Taking customer requirements and interpreting the user, system and security requirements for a relatively complex crypto system in a mission context
- Understanding cryptographic algorithms, what functions they do and do not deliver and how they fit together to enable secure protocols
- Advising on how to employ High grade crypto and key management to achieve outcomes in accordance
- Applying adversarial mind-set and the ability to support his mindset development in others
Essential experience of the Senior Cryptography Engineer:
- Previous experience in Crypt-Key, cryptography, key management or secure systems/product engineering
- The ability to lead others on large or complex engineering programmes or technical consultancy projects, including supporting development of junior colleagues
- The ability to propose/design complex cryptographic solutions to meet security requirements
- Strong communications skills and stakeholder management
- Deep understanding of cyber security, its significance, concepts, threats, vulnerabilities and assurance
Essential qualifications for the Senior Cryptography Engineer:
- Degree level education or equivalent

This role is 37 hours per week based at our Malvern site and is 5 days per week on-site. Travel to customer sites will be expected.
