Headquartered in Nowra, New South Wales, QinetiQ Air Affairs, part of QinetiQ’s Threat Representation business unit, provides targets and training services, and electronic warfare capabilities to the Australian Defence Force, in addition to aerial surveillance and reconnaissance in support of government firefighting efforts. Air Affairs owns and operates a fleet of special mission aircraft and maintains an advanced manufacturing and engineering facility providing design, manufacture and certification operations.
We are now looking for an experienced Program Manager to join our QinetiQ Air Affairs team in Nowra, NSW.
Join Our Team as the Program Manager for Joint Adversarial Training and Testing Services (JATTS) and Common Services Support (CSS) programs. This role will see you managing these two key programs, based in Nowra.
As the Program Manager you will be responsible for;
- Leading the delivery of JATTS and CSS project outcomes to agreed plan and baselines (i.e. scope, safety, quality, schedule/time, cost, risk and objectives) with an effective level of governance, assurance and reporting on all activities.
- Leading the identification and capture of JATTS and CSS related growth opportunities, in order to further build on and advance QinetiQ’s global capabilities in Threat Representation.
- Developing, mentoring and coaching team members to ensure growth and development goals are achieved.
- Promoting a strong safety conscious culture with emphasis on hazard identification, active reporting, continuous improvement and learning, and zero tolerance for unsafe work practices and behaviours
Day to day you will be;
- Providing Program Management support across the JATTS and CSS contracts, ensuring compliance and delivery requirements are met.
- Consider opportunities for development within the JATTS and CSS contracts.
- Liaising across the business to collaborate, develop and implement resolutions to address complex problems and issues across multiple teams, by successfully motivating and influencing key stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will have;
- Significant knowledge of defence contracts and experience managing complex defence projects.
- Negotiation experience: commercial, projects and services delivery with customers and suppliers.
- Tertiary qualification/s in Engineering, Project Management, Business Management or other relevant discipline (or equivalent).
- Excellent communication skills with a strong stakeholder engagement ability.
- Demonstrated influencing skills and experience liaising across a multidisciplinary organisation.
- Eligibility for registration as a Registered Project Manager (Reg PM) and certification as a CPPP through the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) (or equivalent).
- NV1 Clearance.
