The Role
As a Senior Communications Integration Engineer, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary providing subject matter expertise to support the technical delivery of secure end-to-end radio solutions in a multi-bearer, mobile environment from design to delivery and transition to service.
 
Day-to-day, you will:

  • Lead teams or work in collaboration within a team to ensure solutions are integrated and technically leading projects being accountable for their technical success.
  • Independently create and run test plans and schedules and contribute towards strategy decisions.
  • Take existing design documents and read across to system requirements in order to validate the design and produce appropriate test documentation.
  • Deliver demonstration and presentations on technical subjects to senior stakeholders and Industry partners.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues by using in-depth knowledge on communications principles.

 
This role is a full-time position based at our Portsdown technology park site and is fully on-site.
 

Essential experience of the Senior Communications Integration Engineer:

  • Qualified to a degree level in a relevant subject or extensive experience in the communications Industry.
  • Experience providing technical leadership with demonstrable experience speaking to stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge on military communication systems and utilising the full frequency spectrum.
  • In depth knowledge of commercial telecommunications technology such as microwave, Wi-Fi, 4G and LTE.
  • Proven experience conveying complex information to non-specialist audiences.

 
Qualifications for the Senior Communications Integration Engineer:
A Technical Degree (Computer Science, Maths, Engineering or equivalent field) or relevant technical experience.
