QinetiQ Inc. is looking to hire a Business Development Executive to support efforts across our Intelligence division. The selected candidate will create and execute capture plans, interact with potential customers and industry partners, qualify opportunities, and support solution development and proposal activities. The candidate will support National Intelligence capture for opportunities associated with one or more of the following functional areas: data, enterprise IT services, and application development.

Your Contribution to Our Mission:

 

  • Works with Account Leads, and Business Units to identify and qualify opportunities and grow the pipeline
  • Evaluates and prioritizes opportunities based on Avantus' ability to pursue and win
  • Leads capture on National Intelligence targeted opportunities greater than $25M or validated as strategic to the business
  • Leads the development and submission of white papers, RFI responses, and other proposal artifacts as assigned
  • Leads development and implementation of Capture Plans encompassing Win Strategy, Schedule, Teaming, Price to Win, etc.
  • Forms and leads the Capture Team for specific opportunities/pursuits, typically encompassing the proposal manager, solution architect, technical SMEs, Delivery personnel, and contracts, pricing, and security representatives
  • Executes and reports on measurable steps to improve probability of win from early pre-RFP phases, through proposal response, and post-submission capture activities
  • Supports customer requirement influencing strategy, requirement interpretation and solution generation
  • Supports the customer relationship management strategy and engages senior executives in contract activity
  • Supports opportunity-specific Black Hat reviews
  • Conducts after action reviews for all business opportunity capture participants to document lessons learned and identify necessary adjustments to capture technique, strategy, and actions

To Land This Job, You Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Requires a minimum of 3+ years of directly related business development, capture, solutioning, and proposal development
  • Proven track record in building customer relationships, championing solutions; and delivering solutions to DoD and IC customers
  • In-depth knowledge of the DoD and Intelligence Community 
  • Strong written and briefing skills
  • Formal training in Capture Management, Proposal Management, Technical Estimating, etc.
  • Willingness to travel to other U.S. cities to support customer visits and strategy workshops.  Estimated up to 25% annually as required
  • Current Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI Eligibility

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • A track record of leading and winning large (>$50 Million) captures
  • Knowledge of the acquisition and budgeting process
