The Role
As a Property Services Operative, and as a key member of the Estates Delivery discipline within UK Defence Operations, the Property Services Operative (General Worker) role will provide support by delivering planned or requested activities to effectively deliver a high-quality operations service.  

 

Day-to-day, you’ll be part of a team which manages the Ground Maintenance, Plant Maintenance, Cleaning and restoration, as well escorting visitors around the site.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • To deliver general service tasks as identified such as Installing Site Signage in your areas of responsibility
  • To ensure maintenance standards and quality of work delivered are to the required level
  • To assist in resolving customer issues with outstanding tasks or deliveries
  • To ensure the appropriate movement of consumables & materials across site in the ongoing management of services
  • To assist the Grounds maintenance team ensuring that the site grounds are kept to the required standard

Essential experience of the Property Services Operative: 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a small team as well as independently
  • Proactive, drive and enthusiasm; ‘can do’ approach

 

Essential qualifications for the Property Services Operative:

  • Manual handling background advantageous
  • Full UK driving license
  • Prior experience in a similar role and industry

This role is 37 hours per week based at full time onsite at our Aberporth site.

 

Aberporth MOD site

A military testing range was first established in Cardigan Bay during the Second World War. The Range is controlled from a site near Aberporth and is known as MOD Aberporth. Over the years the Range has played a significant part in the development and testing of a variety of military weapons
