About the role

The Electronics Technician will be working at a world class Testing and Trials Evaluation environment, you will play a vital role in the maintenance, repair and operation of a broad range of instrumentation platforms that will be deployed out at sea.

What do I need?

 

  • You must have an Electronics background, we will be able to offer training for the rest of the role’s responsibilities.
  • The Electronics Engineer should be able to deploy out at sea.

 

What will I be doing?

 

  • The primary scope of this Electronics Technician role is focused on the manufacture, maintenance and live operation of a variety of target platforms located out in Cardigan Bay. All equipment specific training will be provided.
  • You will undertake a variety of electronic engineering tasks, ensuring technical solutions meet business and customer requirements.
  • The Electronics Engineer will ensure all target maintenance, calibration and repair requirements are carried out in a timely fashion in accordance with maintenance schedules.
  • You will be assisting with manufacturing bespoke instrumentation solutions and maintaining equipment, reporting errors, faults and deficiencies associated with drawings/work instructions, materials, machinery, tooling and equipment.
  • The Electronics Engineer will operate and pilot a range of equipment and marine vehicles to meet the requirements of the Targets, Geographic and Functional Capability Teams.
  • You will support the Surface Target team in ensuring that trials support systems are operational and fit for purpose. (Targets and Target Control Cell).
