We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join QinetiQ Target Systems (QTS). QTS specializes in Unmanned Aerial and Surface Target systems, including the world-leading Banshee target, used in over 40 countries worldwide for realistic weapons testing, operator training, and evaluation.

The role
Day-to-day, your duties will involve ensuring product quality from inventory suppliers. This includes conducting supplier audits, managing corrective actions, and monitoring product quality. You’ll oversee the First Article Inspection process and maintain supplier quality standards. Below are some other duties.

• Lead supplier quality audits, build strong supplier relationships, and manage corrective actions.
• Monitor supplier product quality performance and provide documentation for issue resolution.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and provide expertise in supplier quality assurance.
• Ensure supplier conformance to specifications and compliance with quality standards.

Essential experience of the Quality Engineer:

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications for the Quality Engineer:

• Auditor qualification and willingness to travel, with AS9100 knowledge as a plus.
• HNC/HND in engineering with demonstrable supplier quality assurance experience.

Eligibility for SC clearance as a minimum requirement.
