We are looking for a talented individual to deliver improved confidence in business winning and delivery across our UK Defence portfolio of work. You will be working alongside senior leadership to build a new business unit within an already thriving area of QinetiQ, helping to define, implement and mature a Governance and Assurance approach that will enable customer delivery and profitable growth.
The Role
As a Governance and Assurance Manager you will work alongside Sector Delegated Authorities, Performance Excellence and the Functions to provide an efficient and effective Governance and Assurance model. You will also work in partnership with Winning and Delivery teams to drive them to be more efficient and effective in the delivery of projects and programmes to their Customers through effective and tailored application of value adding process.
- Assuring the Sector’s compliance with Project Management related Operating Framework policy and process.
- Leading the application of the QinetiQ lifecycle framework across the Sector delivery teams.
- Ensuring effective Project Management Governance and Assurance processes, guidance, templates and training is delivered to the Business Winning and Delivery Team with UK Defence.
- Provide governance and assurance support for the Sector leadership and delivery teams.
- Manage the governance structure for Major Project Reviews for complex and strategic projects.
- Own the production of key metrics, performance reports and ensure data quality / integrity is maintained throughout metric lifecycle.
This role is full time, 37-hours per week, and can be based out of our Farnborough, Portsmouth, Salisbury or Bristol sites, with a hybrid/adaptive working arrangement.
Essential experience of the Governance and Assurance Manager
- Strong programme and project management skills
- Confident and articulate with well-developed communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
- Able to quickly establish personal and professional credibility, influence people and drive change.
- A creative strategic thinker focused on delivering results.
- Able to operate at an enterprise level.
Qualifications for the Governance and Assurance Manager
- Chartered project professional or equivalent project management qualifications.
