Role Purpose:
To lead, develop and maintain QinetiQ’s Communities of Practices. As QinetiQ continues on its global business growth trajectory, it becomes vital that we are able to connect colleagues together to enable them to collaborate in areas of mutual interest. The formation of these communities enables a sense of collective belonging, provides a way of collaborating on and accelerating research and development through shared experiences, and increases global knowledge sharing. This provides a huge benefit to both the individual, and collectively to QinetiQ.
This role will support the development and evolution of the Communities of Practice framework. Working closely with the Head of Knowledge Management, Director of Employee Experience, Marketing and other key stakeholders across the global community, this role will be responsible for:
• The development, implementation and operational running of the QinetiQ’s Communities of Practice framework; to include the identification and roll out of suitable supporting tooling; and ownership of the development roadmap;
• Identifying and categorising communities of interest within the QinetiQ global organisation, identifying individual community leadership teams;
• Offer best practice support and guidance to communities in ensuring the development of thriving communities;
• Working with Community Leadership teams to instantiate the community, and to provide leadership to get the community operational and running smoothly;
• Measurement and reporting on communities, ensuring that they are running well and that QinetiQ are seeing the benefits to both individuals and the group;
• Regular engagement with key global business stakeholders to ensure that the communities are able to support business opportunities. For example, connecting customer challenges to a global community that could provide a solution.
The key successes of this role will be measured through positive recognition of the communities, increase in engagement and collaboration between key global elements.
