The Finance & Governance team (refer Appendix A for further details) has responsibility for;

  • Financials (Actual, Budget, Forecast)
  • Tax & Treasury
  • Investor Relations
  • ESG
  • Risk
  • Internal Audit
  • Legal
  • Company Secretarial

Professional Capabilities/Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in a previous EA role, specifically supporting a senior Finance Executive.
  • Knowledge and understanding of working within a FTSE company.
  • Expert level in Outlook and proficient in IT applications including: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Team and Cisco Webex.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Point of contact for internal and external customers, investors, shareholders, advisors and employees.
  • Manage/escalate/delegate issues within the management chain with clear instructions/deadlines when required. Follow up on actions to ensure completion.
  • Ensure the Group CFO is well prepared for meetings by preparation and compilation of essential material in advance. Follow up on behalf of the Group CFO on actions arising.
  • Be a strong team player; be able to communicate and interact effectively with the QinetiQ Leadership Team, and other EAs/PAs and to provide full support to peers within the EA community.
  • Proactively solve problems on behalf of the Group CFO where appropriate.
  • Direct daily itinerary prompting/alerting of subsequent meeting/ diary commitments.


Main responsibilities/duties:

  • Strong relationships with customers, advisors and suppliers, and maintaining a reliable network of internal and external contacts to achieve best results.
  • Assessment of business priorities and managing diary to accommodate accordingly.
  • Exercising judgment on Group CFO’s inbox, flagging priority items and act proactively to drive the pace of the business.
  • Respect sensitivities and confidentiality of information and ensure protection of confidential information.
  • Organise and manage travel and trip schedules.
  • Support the broader Finance & Governance team, particularly in the areas of employee engagement, investor presentations / seminars, annual report and other duties as directed.
