We want to hear from you if you are:
- Excited by the challenge of shaping something new and growing how we work for our customers
- Driven by the excitement and challenge of helping our customers solve some of the most critical challenges faced in Defence and National Security
- Keen to work with our offsite teams to help us better integrate a broad range of existing and new capabilities both within our business and supplier ecosystems
- Willing to work on customer sites in London for 3-4 days a week, with your remaining time either in QinetiQ offices or remote
- Currently hold the highest levels of UK Government clearance
Key Accountabilities:
Planning technical activities, including:
- Detailed analysis of the requirements to ensure that the project has a firm basis of understanding and can deliver the right outcome to all stakeholders.
- Liaising with the internal customers to ensure that their requirements are fully understood
- Identifying any key constraints, including external standards / legislative requirements
- Identifying any safety and security issues, and ensure plan addresses them
- Dividing the activity into a logical set of tasks, organised into a Work Breakdown Structure
- Identification of the risks and opportunities associated with each task.
- Ensuring that appropriate engineering plans required are created to an appropriate standard
- If developing a product, ensure that product and legislative compliance is addressed appropriately.
Oversight of technical delivery, including:
- Working alongside other team members to ensure successful delivery
- Leading the delivery team, acting as a coordinator and facilitator, supporting and guiding the team members.
- Ensuring that the technical tasks are conducted according to the plan
- Ensuring the end deliverables meet customer specification and quality expectations
- Ensuring that safety and security is properly maintained and legislation is complied with.
- Ensuring that the necessary artefacts and documentation are created and controlled
- Ensuring that issues are identified and recorded immediately
- Ensuring that appropriate engineering plans as required by the customer are in place.

ABOUT YOU
You will be passionate about working closely with your customers and keeping the UK safe. You may have a degree that may be in a related field. You might not, but might instead demonstrate how you have trodden the path for yourself and gained the skills and experience required to be successful in this role. We would expect you to have experience in most, but not all of the key capabilities.
