DSP Algorithm Designer

We are looking to appoint an experienced scientist to join our expanding team and fulfil a significant role in the design and implementation of Secured Navigation systems, including Global Navigation Satellite System receivers. The ideal candidate will have expertise in signal processing design and algorithm design, implementation, test and verification. They will have a strong mathematical background and be experienced in the use of Matlab.
Essential skills:
- Fully proficient in utilising Matlab
- Experienced in signal processing design and modelling for practical real time systems
- Experienced in algorithm design/implementation including use of literature and innovation.
- Good mathematics background including comfortable with probability and statistics
- Experienced in algorithm test and verification
- Collaborative team member
Beneficial skills:
- GNSS expertise would be highly beneficial
- Familiar with software engineering and ideally C/C++
- Other beneficial areas include:
- Navigation system specification;
- Navigation signal processing;
- Multi-sensor navigation;
- Robust navigation techniques (anti-jam, anti-spoof)
- Real Time Kinematic satellite navigation;
- GNSS security;
- Alternative PNT approaches and techniques;
- Emerging PNT technologies and threats.
- Experience of working in a formal engineering environment would be highly beneficial (including documentation, use of formal design lifecycles, use of configuration management tools).
- Team leading would be beneficial
Experience:
- Multiple roles: 1 to 15+ years from graduation (or equivalent experience)
Essential Requirements:
- UK SC Security clearance or BC and ability to achieve SC
- Ideally Malvern based but with hybrid/remote working
- Fulltime roles (3+ year requirement)
- Required immediately (target March)
