Applications are now invited from experienced Accounts Payable professionals for a key role in our recently restructured Finance Transactions team.

Reporting to the Finance Transaction Manager (who is based in Canberra), this role manages the end-to-end Accounts Payable function and is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and overseeing the processing of vendor invoices and staff out-of-pocket expense claims across multiple entities. This includes managing payment processing, supplier relationships, staff expense processing and payment and ensuring compliance with financial policies and internal controls.

Our ideal candidate for this largely autonomous role requires:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, managing end-to-end accounts payables for multiple entities.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable and financial controls including invoice processing, purchase order management and payment cycles.
  • Demonstrated experience in reconciling supplier statements and addressing payment issue efficiency.
  • Experience in staff expense management and processes around submissions, approvals and compliance.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and accounting software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills coupled with both a team orientation and a proven ability to work autonomously.

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold Australian citizenship and be eligible for Australian Defence security clearance.

Whilst applications must be made online, confidential enquiries are welcome and may be directed to Cathy Riach, People Lead - Talent Acquisition (clriach@qinetiq.com.au).
