A recent restructure has seen the development of three new Finance Business Partner opportunities. 

 

Reporting to the Melbourne based Head of Finance, this particular role will partner with key functional leaders (ie People Function, Growth function, etc) to provide strategic financial insight, analysis, and support, enabling informed decision-making and alignment with corporate objectives.  The role is also responsible for leading financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis across functional cost centres tax and statutory account related activities, ensuring integration with overall business strategy. Importantly, this role is critical in identifying and mitigating financial and tax-related risks, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and financial governance frameworks and contributes to the continuous improvement of financial processes, cost efficiency, and functional performance, while supporting effective tax planning and reporting across the organization.

 

This role may be based in Brisbane or Melbourne to suit the successful candidate.

 

In terms of skills, qualifications and experience, we seek:

 

  • A strong academic foundation in finance or accounting including a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field and ideally, a professional qualification such as CA, CPA or ACCA.
  • Strong knowledge of direct and indirect tax regulations including solid experience in managing corporate income tax, VAT/GST, withholding taxes, and transfer pricing across multiple jurisdictions coupled with familiarity with tax compliance frameworks and statutory reporting obligations.
  • Prior experience in the preparation of annual financial statements including demonstrated knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and experience in the preparation of standard interpretations and in the preparation of accounting position papers.
  • Commercial acumen with an ability to understand business drivers, interpret financial results, and assess financial implications of strategic and operational decisions.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and accounting software.
  • A strong team and customer orientation, well-honed problem solving skills and superior communication ability.

 

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold Australian citizenship and be eligible for Australian Defence security clearance.
