We are excited to welcome applications from budding HR superstars for a role in our close-knit People (HR) team.  Reporting to the Lead People Partner – Operations & Systems, you’ll work in the HR ‘engine room’ and support transactional day-to-day HR activity.  You’ll play a key role in enabling employee experience, through the provision of first line interface to our employees.

 

This is an ideal development role and will provide a strong grounding across all aspects of the People function’s areas of responsibility.  Whilst some HR experience is required, we’ll support training to help you build out your skills.

 

In terms of location, whilst the preference is for the role to be based in Melbourne, we also welcome candidates from Canberra.

 

A typical day in this HR support role will see you:

  • Providing front line responses to employee queries
  • Providing advice and support to employees and managers to ensure fair and consistent application of People policies
  • Working collaboratively with the broader People team to ensure seamless delivery of People initiatives and services
  • Enabling on-boarding and off-boarding processes
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records in accordance with data integrity, compliance and audit standards

 

In terms of qualifications, experience and skills, we’re looking for:

  • Qualifications in human resources, an understanding of employee relations and at least a basic understanding of Australian employment law
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools
  • A keen eye for detail coupled with strong administrative, time management and organisational abilities
  • Well-developed communication skills
  • A proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • A willingness to learn coupled with adaptability and flexibility
  • Team orientation, collaborative style and a strong customer service orientation

 

Whist not essential, experience using SuccessFactors or another HR Information System (HRIS) is preferred.

 

Due to the nature of our business, applicants must also be eligible for Australian Defence security clearance.
