Site Compliance Lead - Pendine

Role Purpose
Co-ordinate and drive the robust and effective delivery of 1st Line Assurance and compliance to corporate operating framework policies and procedures using our extant governance toolset. To provide site based leadership, ensuring continued accreditation to ISO standards, including wherever applicable 9001, 14001, 17025, 45001 and 50001 standards. This role is responsible for building and maintain a strong working relationship with second and third Line Assurers.
Key Accountabilities
1. Responsible to the Head of Site for ensuring all site data is maintained within the corporate governance systems (eg CAT, Predict and Security Systems) to demonstrate and evidence compliance with regulatory requirements, Operating Framework policies and procedures and ISO standards as applicable.
2. Responsible for stakeholder engagement to ensure that internal and external evaluations are planned and delivered within scope.
3. Drive a culture of continuous improvement, supporting activities for the site, by empowering individuals to evaluate, propose and implement improvements.
4. Liaise with Subject Matter Experts to ensure ongoing compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
5. Provision of support to CAT action owners to enable correct and timely completion of those actions
6. Organise and lead Management Action Planning meetings to promote effective closure of nonconformities identified during audits and investigations.
7. Monitor and support the site in the maintenance of local documentation to ensure compliance and review at the required frequency.
Key Capabilities/Knowledge
• Have a wide understanding of Compliance and Assurance.
• Knowledge with a understanding of relevant standards and processes (e.g. ISO standards 9001, 14001, 17025, 45001 and 50001)
• Strong diplomacy and negotiation skills and ability to influence without authority.
• An analytical mind-set with excellent organizational skills and time management.
• Ability to develop plans and measure performance to drive a high performing continuous improvement culture.
• Current driving licence.
• Knowledge of Risk Management Systems
• Knowledge of how to use CAT to capture and manage evaluations and actions
• Knowledge of the Predict! risk management tool and risk management processes
• Knowledge of QinetiQ safety and governance processes
Experience & Qualifications
• Proven track record in similar role.
• Experience in an operations, technical or engineering subject.
• Ability to encourage collaboration between groups and individual team members.
• Have demonstrable knowledge of compliance standards, processes and tools.
• Experience of interacting with a range of external and internal stakeholders
• Experience in employment using analytical, conceptual and organisational skills.
• Demonstrable evidence of leading teams and running simultaneous programmes or work streams.
• Demonstrable high level of IT competency including the ability to learn new systems and packages as required
• Experience in conducting internal compliance activities
• Experience in managing safety processes
• Desirable – NEBOSH qualification
• Desirable – Qualified Lead Risk Assessor
