Opportunities now exist for Project Managers within our MSP Division, based in Adelaide, Canberra or Newcastle. In our Major Service Provider (MSP) Division, we are part of a consortium of independent, technical partners, who share the Government’s commitment to growing Defence industry capability so it is able to deliver large integrated work packages across Defence domains and functions.

 

Project Manager you will be responsible for providing project management services to support the success of a major Defence project including:

  • Developing task and procurement plans for in collaboration with our customer to meet their needs and budget.
  • Scheduling and resource planning for approved plans
  • Monitoring and reporting on task progress
  • Present progress to stakeholders within the customer organisation.
  • Conduct risk identification and management fr tasks
  • Leading a team to provide project management across multiple Defence projects.
  • Supporting complex project and contract management
  • Supporting the development of complex business cases and delivery strategies
  • Stakeholder engagement within the Defence environment

To be successful for the role of Project Manager the ideal applicant will require:

  • Significant experience in leadership and management in a range of challenging environments and settings
  • Experience in project controls and co-ordination of contract deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, multi task and work under pressure
  • Knowledge of modem writing standards and processes, or Defence Writing Standards (not essential)
  • Demonstrated experience in Defence Aviation Safety Regulation (DASR) and Defence Engineering Management System (EMS)

Applicants MUST hold or be eligible to obtain a PV level Australian Government security clearance.

 

Our MSP (Major Service Provider) Division, is part of a consortium of independent technical partners and specialist SMEs.  We share and support Defence’s commitment to growing and improving Australia’s military capability.  We do this by delivering large, long term, integrated work packages across the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG).  In doing so we work closely with both uniformed and public service staff to help plan the acquisition and support of advanced military systems and equipment through the provision of rigorous analysis, advice and assurance; we relish solving the unique and challenging problems this work entails.
