We are excited to invite applications from seasoned Sales and Business Development professionals to lead the growth of People Services within the Australian Sector by identifying, shaping and converting client demand into profitable staff augmentation, embedded team and related people service opportunities over the rolling five-year planning horizon.
This is a key role reporting into our Chief Growth Officer, ideally the successful candidate will be based in Canberra however applicants based in Melbourne and Brisbane are also encouraged to apply.
The opportunity
As Sales Director – People Services, your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Leading the Sector campaign to develop market and account strategies, shape customer demand, build go-to-market approaches, manage senior internal and external relationships, create compelling workforce and people propositions, improve profitability through disciplined commercial approaches and leading cross-functional business-winning teams
- Development and execution of the Australian Sector growth strategy for People Services
- Building and converting a pipeline if staff augmentation, embedded team and people service opportunities across priority accounts with a strong Defence and National Security focus
- Developing strong client relationships to identify forward demand, workforce needs and account expansion opportunities
- Partnering with recruitment, project delivery BU and commercial teams to align customer demand with qualified personnel and service capacity
- Leading bid and negotiation activity for labour-based services, people engagements and panel opportunities
- Development of commercial approaches that improve win probability, profitability, utilisation and delivery confidence
- Build in-country go-to-market plans with relevant functions including marketing, sales and project delivery
- Monitoring pipeline health, mobilisation readiness, conversion performance and revenue realisation across the campaign
- Leading cross-functional business-winning teams to deliver Order Intake Scenario (OIS) growth in line with Sector objectives
To be successful in the position of Sales Director – People Services, you will need to bring with you:
- Strong understanding of people services, professional services and staff augmentation business models
- Demonstrated ability to sell workforce solutions, embedded resource models and related people services
- Strong commercial acumen across pricing, margin, utilisation and service delivery risk
- Strong client engagement and account development capability across government (Defence and National Security) and B2B customers
- Understanding of procurement approaches for professional services, labour-based contracts and panel arrangements
- Experience leading virtual or matrixed teams across a large organisation
- Experience selling people, professional or support services, including pipeline development, pursuit and closure
- Previous demonstratable experience in staff augmentation, workforce solutions, account growth or managed services sales at a senior level
- Strong understanding of sales concepts, customer management and account expansion in people-based services environments
- Proven track record of negotiating complex commercial contracts, professional services agreements or labour-based engagements at a senior level
- An effective leadership style that fosters cross-functional collaboration, accountability and sales execution
Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold an Australian Defence security clearance, NV1 minimum or have the ability to obtain one
