The Role
As the Deputy Commercial Manager, you’ll have a role that is out of the ordinary, where you will provide commercial support to a diverse portfolio of projects, across multi-disciplined Integrated and Delivery Teams as required in accordance with the established Business and Commercial strategy. 

You will be working as an individual Commercial contributor across and in support of a broad Business Portfolio or as part of an Integrated Capture / Delivery Team where you will demonstrate general commercial acumen on tenders and contracts which are typically non-standard, of low to medium complexity, or supporting senior commercial staff on major projects, or new business campaigns.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Personal Competence - An accountable self-starter, modelling responsibility
• Business Competence - Develops and sustains customer relationship plans that lead to profitable, repeat business
• Innovation Competence - Develops and implements commercial models that optimise value and mutual benefit
• Drafting, law and Practice Competence - Confident in a range of different agreements (pre-and-post award)

Essential experience of the Deputy Commercial Manager: 

• Demonstrable experience in a Commercial setting from within a highly regulated industry such as Defence or Aerospace

Desirable qualifications for the Deputy Commercial Manager:

• Degree educated or comparable work experience
• Accredited to IACCM (WCC) member status or higher
• CIPS or MCIPS qualified

This role is 37 hours per week and is based out of our Bristol facility with an expectation of being onsite 3 days per week on average and will require travel to various QinetiQ sites such as Boscombe Down, Farnborough and Abbeywood.
