Applications are now sought from seasoned business development professionals for a key role in our Australian Growth team.  Reporting the Australia Sector Chief Growth Officer, as the successful applicant, you will lead, shape and implement the Capability Assurance Training and Simulation (CATS) campaign and in doing so:

 

  • Develop a campaign-aligned business winning strategy
  • Build ‘go to market’ approaches and compelling business propositions
  • Collaborate with the Chief Growth Officer to develop new capability
  • Manage senior level external and internal relationships
  • Improve profitability by delivering new and innovative commercial approaches
  • Lead cross functional and cross-business winning teams
  • Deliver ‘order intake scenario’ growth over the strategic planning horizon in collaboration with the Sector Growth function team

 

This role may be based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra or Melbourne to suit you.

 

As our ideal applicant, you’ll present with:

  • Experience in sales pipeline development, proposition development, sales pursuit and closure
  • Previous experience in a senior sales/account management role with an ability to apply sales concepts, tools and principles and influence customers
  • Previous track record of negotiating complex commercial contracts at a senior level both internally and externally
  • Expert knowledge of the campaign area, its current needs, issues and key trends/issues
  • Proven experience presenting to and engaging government (ie senior ministerial) and company boards
  • Strong leadership skills and a style that fosters cross-functional and cross-business collaboration
  • Self-motivation, results orientation and drive to succeed

 

 

Due to the nature of this role, applicants must hold Australian citizenship and be eligible for Australian Defence security clearance.
