We have a requirement for an Associate Communications Systems engineer to undertake communications engineering design, development, system integration and test and acceptance activities to support Maritime communication systems in the underwater C4I domain. This is a great opportunity to be involved with all stages of the lifecycle of a communications system from conception through to in-service.

 

The Role
As a Communications Engineer, you will be responsible for successfully applying current knowledge to development of legacy and current military-specific communications technologies in support of planned and future military communication installations to the MOD. This will include:
 
•    Supporting to develop communication architecture solutions across the frequency spectrum.
•    The Installation and integration of equipment’s in a range of military and commercial platforms.
•    Undertaking test and evaluation of equipment and solutions in a lab environment.
•    Applying your skills in the fields of Research, Analysis, Design, Implementation, integration and Test and Evaluation.


Skills and Experience of the Communications Engineer

•    Experience of working on projects with a good understanding of procedure and concepts within communications.
•    The ability to use RF measurement and engineering tools such as Network and spectrum analysers, Matlab or Simulink.
•    The ability to display professional interpersonal/communication skills in order to convey complex information.
•    To be able to manage your own workload while stimulating creative ideas and suggestions to integrate your own contributions into professional and deliverable solutions.

 

Qualifications for the Communications Integration Engineer
Qualified to a first degree level (or equivalent) in a Science or Engineering background.
 
The successful candidate will be able to achieve SC Clearance and be willing to go through DV Clearance.
