The Role

As a Shock Test Engineer, you’ll have a role that is out of the ordinary, leading in analysis, stakeholder engagement, and providing management and hands-on support for shock lab operations.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll:

  • Liaise with customers to understand test requirements and generate bids
  • Lead the technical delivery of shock test programmes
  • Analyse and interpret test results, ensuring compliance with customer requirements
  • Operate and maintain the shock facility, directing day-to-day operations
     

This role is a full-time position based at our Rosyth site 5 days a week.

 

Essential experience of the Shock Test Engineer:

  • Strong background in customer-facing roles, adept at stakeholder engagement
  • Hands-on experience in testing or technical fields, particularly in shock testing
  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications for shock testing and data analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and analyse shock test programs
  • Familiarity with instrumentation, electronic/mechanical testing, and test improvement methodologies

 

Essential Qualifications for the Shock Test Engineer:

  • HND as a minimum requirement or equivalent experience 

 

Desirable Qualifications for the Shock Test Engineer:

  • IOSH certification
  • First Degree in relevant field
  • Professional registration
